Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinates all aspects of substance abuse prevention services in assigned region. This will include planning; coordinating; implementing and evaluating activities associated with the initiative as well as participation at all required training events and statewide campaigns. Ensures that contract deliverables are met on time and complies with all reporting requirements. Works with various community coalitions and convene local workgroups to implement prevention partnerships and activities.

Qualifications for Position:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (psychology, social work, education, public health or closely related field) and at least two years experience in a human service delivery or other community based programs. OR five years experience performing work related to area of assignment.

Preferred Qualifications:
-Experience in substance abuse prevention programming and management.
-Prevention certification through a prevention credentialing body such as the Prevention Credentialing Consortium of Georgia (PCCG) or the International Certification and Reciprocity Consortium (IC&RC).
-Ability to work effectively with coalitions or groups associated with prevention and health promotion.
-Ability to develop proposals to potential investors.
Supervisory Relationships:
Responsible for supervising part time and intern staff and overseeing the functions of the prevention workgroups and all potential subcontractors related to the prevention contract.

Skills and Knowledge Required:
Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and internet software. Demonstrated leadership skills and proficiency in public speaking, group facilitation, training, strategic planning and implementation, data compilation and prevention program development.
Personal Qualities:
Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. Shows consideration for others, works cooperatively with co-workers, able to provide constructive feedback on use of strategies pertaining to substance abuse, ability to be flexible while following through on assignments.

Amount of Travel and Any Other Special Conditions or Requirements:
Up to 25% travel time may be required in Georgia.
Hours Per Week:
Full-time / 40 hour work week. From $10 to $13 an hour with benefits
